Amy Montague, Ph.D.
La Jolla, CA92037
I have worked as a licensed clinical psychologist for over 20 years providing a wide range of psychological services including diagnostic evaluation; individual, marital and family psychotherapy; and parent guidance. In my practice today, I enjoy treating children, adolescents, adults and their families, working with them to build healthy, meaningful and satisfying lives and relationships. More specific interests include helping people cope with symptoms of anxiety, depression and ADD/ADHD; adjust to life transitions and family changes; manage stress; and recover from traumatic experiences.
My relationship with each patient is warm and personal, creating a safe and collaborative environment to successfully obtain treatment goals. I am very responsive to the unique situations and personalities of my patients and work with them to develop a treatment plan that meets their individual needs.
My formal training is extensive. I obtained my doctorate in both clinical and developmental psychology (University of Maine), completed a pre-doctoral internship in child, adolescent and adult psychology (Emory University School of Medicine) and a post-doctoral fellowship in child and adolescent psychology (University of Michigan Medical School).
After my training, I moved to San Diego and worked as a psychologist with Scripps Clinic Medical Group for 13 years before opening my private practice, which is conveniently located on La Jolla Village Drive. I look forward to the opportunity to assist you and your family with whatever needs you may have.
